Nullarbor Roadhouse

There's More Out Here Than You Think

The Nullarbor is one of the most remarkable stretches of land in the country, and Border Village puts you right in the heart of it. From world-class whale watching to one of the most unique golf courses on the planet, there's plenty worth slowing down for.

Head of the Bight and Bunda Cliffs

Each year between May and October, Southern Right Whales migrate to the sheltered waters of the Great Australian Bight to give birth and raise their calves.

Viewed from the clifftop boardwalk at Head of the Bight, the experience is genuinely hard to put into words. Below you, the Bunda Cliffs drop 90 metres straight into the Southern Ocean, stretching unbroken for over 200 kilometres in either direction.

At the peak of the season, up to 70 whales have been spotted from the viewing platform at one time. It’s one of the most spectacular natural spectacles in Australia, and it’s right on our doorstep.

Nullarbor Links — The World's Longest Golf Course

Spanning 1,365 kilometres along the Eyre Highway from Kalgoorlie to Ceduna, Nullarbor Links is the world’s longest golf course. And one of its holes is right here at Border Village Roadhouse!

The 18-hole par 72 course features one hole at each participating town or roadhouse along the highway, with each hole including a tee, a green, and a stretch of natural outback terrain in between.

Pick up a scorecard, get your card stamped at the Roadhouse, and carry on to the next hole down the highway. It’s one of those only-in-Australia experiences that makes the crossing something to remember.
